DGPs - Young Scientist Retreat 2023

Wir organisieren auch dieses Jahr wieder einen Young Scientist Retreat für Nachwuchswissenschaftler:innen! Dort kommen 25 junge Forscher:innen aus dem Bereich der Biologischen Psychologie in Essen zusammen und stellen sich gegenseitig ihre Projekte vor. Darüber hinaus beschäftigen wir uns mit dem Thema „Akademische Karrierelandschaft in Deutschland“. Nach einem Informationsvortrag durch den Deutschen Hochschulverband werden wir uns mit Jun.-Prof. Dr. Marcella Woud (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) über mögliche Karrierepfade in der Biopsychologie austauschen. Außerdem besuchen wir das Labor von Prof. Ulrike Bingel am Universitätsklinikum Essen, in dem sie und ihr Team Forschung zur Interaktion zwischen Schmerz und Kognition betreiben (www.bingellab.de). Die Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Psychophysiologie und ihre Anwendung (DGPA) statt.

We are organizing a Young Scientist Retreat for you again this year! At this retreat, 25 young researchers from the field of biological psychology come together in Essen and present their projects to each other. The collegial feedback is very valuable and helps in every phase of a project. In addition, we will deal with the topic "Academic Career Landscape in Germany". After an informative lecture by the German Association of University Professors and Lecturers, we will have a discussion on possible career paths in biopsychology with Jun.-Prof. Dr. Marcella Woud (Ruhr-University Bochum). We will also visit the laboratory of Prof. Ulrike Bingel at the University Hospital Essen, where she and her team are investigating the interaction between pain and cognition(www.bingellab.de). The event is organized in collaboration with the German Society for Psychophysiology and its Application (DGPA).
